Annual Gingerbread House Competition

An annual event in the McReeder household is the rounding up of friends, old and new, to build gingerbread houses. To us, there's nothing that says "Merry Christmas" as well as good-old fashioned competition, manifested in graham crackers and enormous amounts of sugar. Below, behold some of the masterpieces, which this year more than others, reflected inordinate creativity -- from the gummy bear pool party to the State Farm FEMA house with a blue tarp roof.
